New Ambient Album Promo Video ‘Cryosleep Dreams’

Ambient Space Music: Cryosleep Dreams (album sampler) by Simon Wilkinson

I’ve just released a new album of ambient space music called Cryosleep Dreams and you can watch a promo video for it above. The album features 10 tracks (101 minutes) of atmospheric and cinematic music with a sci-fi/space theme.

The music is instrumental and richly textured and varies from dark drones to light, airy and ethereal pieces. It’s the kind of music you can listen to while working, writing, meditating, triggering ASMR or just to help you sleep. All of the tracks are at least 7 minutes long (the longest being just under 20 minutes) which makes it perfect for calming background use or falling asleep to.

This album is aimed more at ‘general’ fans of atmospheric ambient music (as opposed to filmmakers) although the tracks will be available for licensing if you’re interested. I’ve had feedback from people who like the sound of my royalty free music albums but understandably don’t want to pay for licensing when they just want to listen to it for pleasure. So I’ll be writing lots more ‘regular’ albums that will be priced more in line with standard albums for non-industry music fans.

Tracklisting:

1. Alpha State Begins (9:05)
2. Pushing Through Crystal Ice Clouds (14:32)
3. Planetfall (8:00)
4. Gravity Waves (8:38)
5. Descending Node (7:01)
6. Orbital Drift (10:17)
7. Binary Storm (7:05)
8. Panoramic Light (9:55)
9. Cold Methuselah (7:04)
10. The Divine Realm (19:42)

The album is available now from my store (link below) and also on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify etc. The lovely cover image comes courtesy of artist and photographer Sarah Fenwick at www.sjfbetty.com and I knew it was the perfect image for the album cover as soon as I saw it.

New Dark And Atmospheric Royalty Free Horror Album Vol.7

Royalty Free Horror Music (promo video) by Simon Wilkinson: 13 Days Of Nightmares

Royalty Free Film & Documentary Music Vol.7: 13 Days Of NightmaresHere’s the new promo video for volume 7 in my royalty free music collection entitled 13 Days Of Nightmares. The collection includes 13 tracks (50 minutes) of dark atmospheric ambient soundscapes and background music suitable for dark documentaries and horror films.

The collection was inspired by the nightmarish atmosphere of dark psychological horror films like The Shining, Session 9 and the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, where the horror and dread is often implied and sensed rather than seen.

The images in the video above are from urbex photographer Andre Govia who specialises in photographic images from real life locations of abandoned mental asylums, institutions, hospitals and other buildings which have been left to decay without maintenance. Although these buildings have often fallen into a state of disrepair (sometimes dangerous to the public) there is a real sense of eerie beauty and the ominous history of the buildings as the architecture takes on its own life and atmosphere after it’s been left to fend for itself.

You can see more of Andre’s amazing work on Flickr:

The album 13 Days Of Nightmares is available as a wav or mp3 download for £39.99 from my website and after purchase can be used in an unlimited number of your own films and documentaries without needing to pay any more (see licensing info for full details):

Clip From Documentary Exuma Featuring Some Of My Music

Fish Personalities

Here’s a short clip from a new documentary film by Colin Ruggiero called Exuma that features some of my music. The film features some stunning underwater and time lapse photography:

“The Exumas are a string of small islands in the Bahamas. “Exuma” is the first film to highlight the beauty of these remote “out islands.” The film is a view into this surreal world of sand, sky and water through the eyes and thoughts of a young woman who lives there. Underwater and time-lapse imagery are used to show a side of the Exumas that few people, even those lucky enough to have visited, have ever seen.”

Outpost 31 by Simon WilkinsonOutpost 31 is a dark and epic atmospheric instrumental track featuring strings, electronica, drum breaks and percussive electronics.
